Open to intermediate to advanced cellists, the Longy Cellobration festival, which includes cello ensemble, master classes, and workshops, is an exciting opportunity for intermediate and advanced cellists to explore different aspects of cello technique and performance. Master Classes will provide a unique opportunity for students to analyze their videotaped performances to build on aspects of stage presence, performance, ensemble technique, and projection. Each day we will explore a different aspect of cello technique, such as “Right-Hand Technique,” “Mastering Thumb Position/Mapping the Cello,” and “Mastering Rhythm.” Students will also have an opportunity to perform with an all-cello ensemble at the final concert on the last day of each session. Students may sign up for either or both sessions.
